Floatation Therapy

FLOAT TANK THERAPY

60 Min Float Price $80 Member: $40 Intro: $60
Float Time

Experience deep relaxation and melt away stress with float therapy. Our spa offers this unique method that promotes profound well-being.

Float away in a sensory oasis. Imagine a spacious isolation tank (also known as a float pod) – your own private haven of peace. These tanks are large enough to comfortably stretch out, typically around 8 feet long and 4 feet wide. Unlike some pods, ours ensure you feel completely in control  – the air circulates freely, and the door remains easily accessible.

The secret to floating lies in the Epsom salt solution.  The tank holds about 10 inches of water saturated with 800 pounds of Epsom salts. This creates an incredibly buoyant environment, even more so than the Dead Sea! You'll effortlessly float on the surface, feeling weightless and completely supported.

Embrace the tranquility of perfect temperature. The water is carefully maintained at skin temperature, around 93.5°F, creating a seamless sensation of being one with the environment.

Find complete sensory deprivation.  Our float rooms are soundproof, and with the light turned off, you'll be enveloped in complete darkness.  Experience a world of "no gravity, no touch, no sight, and no sound" – a state of pure, restorative nothingness.

Transcend the Physical World.  Float effortlessly, free from the constraints of gravity. Let go of all external touch, and drift in a sensory void.  Surround yourself with profound stillness. Unplug and unwind completely, with no sound to break the silence.  This is not just nothing, but a state of deepest relaxation, a chance to completely reset your mind and body.

In a float tank, this deep relaxation and heightened self-awareness come effortlessly

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at danbarletta@thinktankfloatation.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Floatation therapy, also known as isolation tank therapy or sensory deprivation (REST) therapy, involves lying in a soundproof, lightproof pod filled with warm water saturated with Epsom salts. This creates an environment of near-weightlessness, allowing your body to completely relax and your mind to enter a state of profound peace and quietude.

Yes, floatation therapy is generally safe for healthy adults. However, it's important to consult with your doctor if you have any concerns, especially if you have certain medical conditions such as claustrophobia, epilepsy, or heart problems.

Before your first float session, we'll provide you with a brief orientation to familiarize you with the float pod and the process. You'll have complete control of the environment, with the ability to adjust the lights and sound if needed. Once you're comfortable, you can simply relax and enjoy the experience.

Most float sessions last for 60 or 90 minutes.

The frequency of floatation therapy sessions depends on your individual needs and goals. Some people find that floating once a week is beneficial, while others may choose to float less frequently or more often.

You'll typically be nude during your float session. Bathing suits are distracting and harbor bacteria. Epsom salts are gentle on the skin, and the water temperature is maintained at a comfortable level in your private float suite.

For safety reasons, it's best to avoid bringing anything into the float pod except for a towel and any personal care items you might need after your session (e.g., earplugs, eye mask).

No prior meditation experience is necessary to benefit from floatation therapy. The quiet, distraction-free environment naturally promotes relaxation and introspection.

If you have mild claustrophobia, you may still be able to enjoy floatation therapy. The pods are quite spacious, and you can always open the door or turn on the light if you feel uncomfortable. However, if you have severe claustrophobia, it may be best to avoid floatation therapy.

While there isn't currently conclusive research on the safety of floatation therapy during pregnancy, it's generally recommended to consult with your doctor before trying floatation therapy if you're pregnant.

It's important to consult with your doctor before trying floatation therapy if you have any medical conditions.
